Area of research: The verbal system of classical Hebrew. While studying historical Hebrew with Professor Huehnergard, he mentioned that the meaning of the Piel stem in classical Hebrew is an unsolved problem, that Kouwenberg had just published a promising approach on the corresponding verb stem in Akkadian, and that someone should see if Kouwenberg's approach could be adapted to classical Hebrew.
