Diana Hayrapetyan holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics (2016) from the Supreme Certifying Committee of the Republic of Armenia and a Ph.D. in History (2026) from Clark University, Massachusetts. She currently serves as Acting Preceptor in Modern Turkish and Language Instructor in Modern Armenian at Harvard University, and as Affiliate Faculty at Gratz College, where she teaches courses on the Armenian Genocide. Her research examines mass violence, forced displacement, and post-genocide societies in the modern Middle East and the South Caucasus. Her scholarly interests include language acquisition and sociolinguistics, genocide and mass atrocity studies, refugee studies, return and reintegration processes, minority experiences, and memory and identity. Employing an interdisciplinary and transregional framework, her work investigates the long-term social, political, and historical consequences of mass violence, as well as the lived experiences of communities navigating displacement, belonging, and post-conflict reconstruction.
