Justine Landau receives award for Book of the Year in Iranian studies

We are pleased to announce that Justine Landau, Assistant Professor of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, Harvard University, is the recipient of the World Award for the Book of the Year of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of Iranian studies, for her 2013 book, De rythme & de raison. Lecture croisée de deux traités de poétique persans du XIIIe siècle. Paris: Presses de la Sorbonne Nouvelle/ Institut Français de Recherche en Iran [Bibliothèque Iranienne n° 77], 2013.  [Of Rhythm and Reason: A Comparative Reading of Two Thirteenth-Century Persian Treatises on Poetics].

Traveling to Iran to receive her award, Professor Landau was honored at a ceremony which took place in Tehran, Vahdat Hall, on Sunday, February 7, 2016, in the presence of the President of Iran, Hassan Rouhani.
