Lawrence E. Stager, Dorot Professor of the Archaeology of Israel, Emeritus at the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations (NELC), Harvard University, Director Emeritus of the Harvard Semitic Museum, and Co-Director of the Leon Levy Expedition to Ashkelon, Israel, passed away on December 29, 2017, at the age of 74.
