In the wake of the election, come learn about Islamophobia and anti-Muslim sentiment and the ways that they extend beyond the interpersonal. We will discuss defining Islamophobia, the national networks that fuel it in the academy and in politics, and policies of surveillance, incarceration, and extrajudicial designation that target Muslim communities. We will then close with some thoughts about where we go from here and what strong and productive allyship to Muslim communities on and off campus looks like.
