David Owen is a Fulbright-DDRA Scholar to Mauritania, Spain, and Morocco, and currently affiliated with the Department of Philosophy at Mohammed V University in Rabat, Morocco. In April, David gave a seminar at the Complutense University of Madrid: Ibn Ḥazm y el Organon andalusí - al-Taqrīb li-ḥadd al-manṭiq como muestra temprana. On May 7, 2015 he addressed the 21st Annual Moroccan Studies Symposium at the Fulbright Commission, with a paper titled: Manṭiq al-maghāriba fī bilāday ’l-Andalus wa ’l-Shanāqiṭa — Maghrebi Jurists and the History of Arabo-Islamic Logic.
