Alum Nancy Ko named a 2019 Paul & Daisy Soros Fellow!

Nancy Ko (BA '17)  has been named a 2019 Paul & Daisy Soros Fellow, awarded to support her work towards a PhD in History at Columbia University. She joins the dynamic 20 year old community which includes individuals such as former US Surgeon General Vivek Murthy; California Surgeon General Nadine Burke-Harris; Stanford AI leader Fei-Fei Li; Lieutenant Governor of Washington Cyrus Habib; composer Paola Prestini; computational biologist Pardis Sabeti; award-winning writer Kao Kalia Yang, and more than 600 other New American leaders. Nancy obtained her BA in History and Near Eastern Languages & Civilizations from Harvard College. In her doctoral studies and beyond, Nancy intends to bring histories of Middle Eastern Jewish modernity to bear on our current understanding of race and racism.
