#  Peter Manuelian received a Rothenberg grant 

 



**[Peter Manuelian](/people/peter-der-manuelian)**, Philip J. King Professor of Egyptology, received a grant from the [Anne and Jim Rothenberg Fund for Humanities Research](http://provost.harvard.edu/links/anne-and-jim-rothenberg-humanities-research-fund).

His proposal, "Visualizing Art & Archeology: ‘Fabricating’ a Royal Chair from Ancient Egypt for a Harvard Semitic Museum Exhibit" is for finishing 3D milling, faience-inlaying, and gilding a royal chair from the tomb of Queen Hetepheres at Giza (ca. 2500 BC). The chair will eventually go on display in the Semitic Museum; the Museum will help fund the project.
