Taha Yurttaş is a PhD candidate specializing in Assyriology at Harvard University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from Boğaziçi University in Turkey, followed by an MPhil in Cuneiform Studies from the University of Oxford in 2019. His MPhil thesis, *“Tracing Female Mill Workers of Umma during the Ur III Period,”* examined the role of women in the ancient Mesopotamian economy and labor dynamics during the late third millennium BCE. His current research and dissertation focuses on the socio-economic structures of the Old Assyrian society.
