 *Why NELC?* As a child reading the Hebrew Bible's accounts of regional wars, I fell in love with the geography of the Middle East, an anchor for understanding all happenings from the Neolithic Revolution to the Arab Spring.  
  
Recent related experience: 2011 - internship at Council on Foreign Relations; 2012 - Georgetown Summer School in Alexandria, Egypt; 2013 - internship at The Jerusalem Post.  
  
Thesis topic: Ashkenazi Revolution: The Politics of Reaction, Heresy, and Suppression in 1960s Israel
