Jody is a PhD student in the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, specializing in Archaeology. She holds a BA (Hons) in Archaeology of Ancient Civilisations from the University of Liverpool and an MPhil in Assyriology from the University of Cambridge.

She has participated in archaeological projects in the UK and the Middle East, and has extensive archival experience, having worked as a Documentary and Digital Archives Supervisor at Oxford Archaeology before beginning her PhD at Harvard. She is particularly interested in exploring issues of cultural interaction, assimilation and identity in the Ancient Near East during the first millennium BCE.
