DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Giusto Traina,</strong> Professor of Roman history in the Université Paris-Sorbonne and Senior Fellow of the Institut Universitaire de France<br><br>"Framing a marginal country in the Classical <em>oikoumene</em>: the case of Armenia in Strabo's Geography"<br><br>Monday, April 27, 4:00 p.m. ~~ 6 Divinity Avenue, room 201<br><br><strong>Giusto Traina</strong> (born Palermo, Italy, 1959) is Professor of Roman history in the Université Paris-Sorbonne and Senior Fellow of the Institut Universitaire de France. He formerly taught in Lecce, Rouen and Louvain-la-Neuve. Among his recent publications: <em>428 AD: An Ordinary Year at the End of the Roman Empire</em>, with a preface by Averil Cameron, Princeton 2009; <em>Carrhes, 9 juin 53 av. J.-C. Anatomie d’une bataille</em>, Paris 2011; New Italian edition of Ronald Syme, <em>The Roman Revolution</em>, Torino 2014.
