 **[Adam Anderson](/people/adam-grant-anderson)** was named one of eight 2014 Horizon Scholars. Adam will present his research project *The Old Assyrian Social Network: an analysis based on the texts from Kültepe (Kanesh), Turkey*, at a symposium in Sanders Theater on April 22. He and his fellow scholars were selected by the **[Harvard Horizons](http://www.gsas.harvard.edu/harvardhorizons)** initiative as representatives of the high aspirations and the extraordinary achievements of Harvard University’s PhD programs. Congratulations Adam!

 Adam also presented a paper at the Digital Humanities conference in 2013, entitled “Inferring Social Rank in an Old Assyrian Trade Network,” and can be found online at: <http://arxiv.org/abs/1303.2873> and <http://dh2013.unl.edu/abstracts/ab-249.html>. The paper was awarded a bursary from the Alliance of Digital Humanities Organisations (ADHO) for new contributions to scholarship in the digital humanities and the application of information technology in humanities research.
